That’s a wrap on another Calgary Corporate Challenge (CCC), which was held in September. This year wasn’t our best. But we still had a great time!
Calgary-based Pason, Intelligent Wellhead Systems (IWS) and Energy Toolbase (ETB) employees competed in the Red Division this year and finished 22nd! Great work, Pasonites!
Pason’s participation in the games this year was headed by Rahul, IWS Senior Automation Developer, who led the charge for event signups and volunteer efforts.
Even though we didn’t medal in any events, we still had some great highlights from the competition! For us, it’s not all about the competition—it’s about spending time with our coworkers and having a great time.
Among many highlights of the three-week-long competition was Laser Tag, where we finished in sixth place! The team said the competition was fierce, but they gave it their all.
In the Cornhole tournament, the team noted they started strong! But we could not snag a medal, and although the weather was beautiful, the sun and wind made everything a touch more challenging!
Pason also participated in the 5K run, with a total combined time of 1:53:06 for the team. The 5K runners finished 18th out of 23 in the Red Division. However, employees' spirits were high and in it for the endorphins! The runners noted the event was well organized and executed. It was a great excuse to get outside for some fresh air on a Sunday morning!
In addition, we also participated in Cribbage, and the crew finished in the middle of the pack, 14th in our division! The team says they’ll bring some lucky items next year to swing the crib fortunes in their favour!
This is just a small glimpse into how we competed in this year’s games! We also participated in Badminton, Obstacle Courses, Soccer, Bowling, Table Tennis, Trivia, Volleyball, Bocce, Horseshoes, Mini-Golf, and Darts! It was a great turnout and great fun!
Until next year, Calgary Corporate Challenge!
